Description: This report is the fifth in a series of studies conducted jointly by LIMRA and the SOA Long-Term Care Experience Committee. The report presents results for industry long-term care insurance (LTCI) persistency. Persistency is examined based on eighteen participating companies reporting lapse, mortality, and total termination activity for calendar years 2000 through 2016. Description: The Society of Actuaries (SOA) retained Milliman, Inc. (Milliman) to conduct a survey on the impact of COVID-19 on Long-Term Care (LTC) insurance mortality, voluntary lapse, and morbidity experience. The results of this survey, which was conducted from November 2020 through January 2021, are presented in this report.
